Dr. Orson Morrison is co-owner of LifeSpan Counseling and Psychological Services. Dr. Morrison is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Illinois. He obtained his Doctoral Degree at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Niagara University. In addition to his Oak Park practice, he works as the Associate Director of DePaul University’s Counseling & Psychological Services. He previously held positions as the Director of DePaul Family & Community Services, Vice President of Clinical Services at Lawrence Hall Youth Services, Clinical Director of Hartgrove Hospital’s outpatient psychiatric clinic and Director of Psychology Training at Riveredge Hospital. Dr. Morrison’s clinical interests include working with adolescents, adults, and couples. He has developed specializations in working with individual, systemic and multi-generational trauma, mood disorders, strengthening couples’ relationships, multicultural psychology, and psychological testing (ADHD, IQ, Personality, and Academic Evaluations). In addition, Dr. Morrison is trained in Ancestral Lineage Healing, a healing arts modality that takes a non-dogmatic, animist approach to working with one’s ancestors to bring further healing around issues such as generational trauma. This healing modality is offered outside of Dr. Morrison’s role as a Psychologist.

Keri Morrison is co-owner of LifeSpan Counseling and Psychological Services. Keri is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois. She earned her Master’s Degree from Loyola University in Chicago, and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Illinois State University. Keri received extensive training as a child and adolescent therapist at the University of Chicago Hospital Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Clinic and the DePaul University Community Mental Health Center where she provided outpatient mental health services to children, adolescents, and families. Keri has also worked in the areas of child welfare, crisis triage and intervention, partial and inpatient hospitalization programs and the juvenile justice system. Keri works with children, adolescents, adults, and families. She has developed specializations in treating anxiety and mood disorders, ADHD, parent training, and women’s issues.

Dr. Ken Chen is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Illinois. She is bilingual in English and Mandarin. Dr. Chen earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Palo Alto University (CA). She completed a pre-doctoral internship at Oakes Children’s Center in San Francisco, CA. Prior to working for Lifespan Counseling and Psychological Services, Dr. Chen worked at Wellnest LA, a community mental health agency and provided intake assessments and therapy services with diverse clients of all ages. Dr. Chen’s style is warm, practical and straightforward. She specializes in the treatment of depression, anxiety, autism, substance-related disorder, ADHD and trauma. She has worked extensively with culturally diverse school-aged children (5-18), and enjoys working not only with the child/adolescent but also providing support and coaching for the parents/caregivers. She believes that children can learn to process complicated feelings and painful experiences in the context of play and artwork. Dr. Chen uses a collaborative approach with clients of all ages to help develop treatment goals that are observable and developmentally appropriate. She views children’s challenges as a reaction to tensions in the context of relationships and systems. Dr. Chen also has experience running social skills groups for children and substance abuse groups for adolescents.

Dr. Brittany Adams Yee is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Illinois. Dr. Adams Yee takes a collaborative, egalitarian approach to treatment. She is open and nonjudgmental, and takes special time to tailor treatment approaches to fit each individual therapeutic relationship. Dr. Adams Yee practices from a predominately existential-phenomenological framework where individual needs, meaning-making, and pursuit of happiness are emphasized. She incorporates elements of cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and attachment theory as needed. Providing culturally sensitive treatment is a cornerstone of Brittany’s values as a therapist, and she welcomes any and all culturally sensitive issues into her therapy room. As the Clinic Office Assistant, Josephina manages various administrative tasks of the practice and helps the staff at LifeSpan Counseling and Psychological Services connect with their clients making the experience for both the client and the clinician easier. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, and going on adventures.

Dylan Wijas, is a Psychology Extern who is currently working toward his doctoral degree in clinical psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. He earned his Bachelor’s in psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dylan has experience working in a state psychiatric hospital, contributing to the care of patients with Alzheimer’s, Dementia, psychosis, extensive trauma histories, and a variety of other symptom presentations. In therapy, Dylan aims to actively collaborate with his clients in order to tailor the intervention to the individual needs of the client. His primary clinical interests include gender and sexual identity, life transitions, relationships, trauma, grief, and loss.
